Thought I'd update my Potter Collection box cover, so it'll hold all 8 films...

very cool (IMG:style_emoticons/default/8834.gif) The only thing is the inner bevel text on the spine is a bit hard to read, maybe I'm going blind tho. Anyway to go lighter inside the bevel?

What Rob said... and also try to use "ABLE" font for spine text. which is the second official font for HP movies. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/8834.gif)
http://new.myfonts.com/fonts/t26/able/ There's a free identical called "Lumas" i guess. lemme know if you need this font PS: did you try metal Finish for "Harry Potter" text? ![]() ![]() |

The front is absolutely wonderful the back though is a little to much in my opinion
Though my Girlfriend disagree's, she thinks its brilliant she loves the colors and the idea of putting the titles in the book. But was does she know (IMG:style_emoticons/default/winking.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/whistle.gif) This post has been edited by wessim: Sep 2 2009, 07:23 AM |

Sorry J... but the back is way too crowded. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
Edit: just saw the update...and I'd say turn down the opacity of the glasses. This post has been edited by zantasha: Sep 2 2009, 05:26 PM ![]() ![]() |

I dont know what u have above the tassle but it needs to go, and prolly the extra page on the top left as well. Other then that i think your set, please make a standard amaray size spine version (IMG:style_emoticons/default/8834.gif)

A lot of potential mate, but I have a few suggestions that goes a bit against the crowd as usual (IMG:style_emoticons/default/8834.gif)
I don't get the whole "items hovering over a book" theme, it's obvious why you went with the book design, but I think there's some clashing styles here. If you removed the corner ornaments, I think it would look better. on the front I would make the items quite a bit smaller. They take up too much focus. Plus I would ditch the angles on the logo, looks a little wordartish to me. A pentagram? maybe I missed something, but isn't that a bit out of place? The others already told you about the back, but I'd like to add a suggestion. Reduce the distance of the drop shadows, and maybe also the opacity. I know this is magic and all but I would be worried if I picked up this dvd w/cover that the items would fall to the ground and break. ![]() You're holding it wrong

Looks sweet JR (IMG:style_emoticons/default/8834.gif)
P.S. Did u make the front look like a smiley face on purpose: glasses=eyes, wand=nose, words on the bottom=smile lol sorry my daughter picked that out lol ![]() |

I still think you could use some of Daniel's tips and also turn down the opacity of the glasses like Nat said.

If possible I think you should upload one to the gallery a version without the wand and glasses on the front, just the book itself for another option for people to choose from. Just a thought
